Timeless Painted Shaker Kitchen - North West London

This North West London home gave us a fantastic amount of space to work with - the kind of open layout that invites something calm, elegant, and well-balanced. Framed by a striking feature window, the room had great natural light from the start, which gave us the perfect foundation for a classic painted shaker kitchen that feels both fresh and timeless.

We kept the overall look light and airy, letting the window take centre stage while building in enough warmth and texture to give the space depth. The cabinetry is traditional shaker, painted in a soft, neutral tone to keep things feeling relaxed but refined.

Inside, the attention to detail continues. We used a walnut veneer for the cabinet interiors, along with solid walnut dovetailed drawers - a classic touch that adds a sense of quality and craftsmanship every time you open one. We included nickel hinges on the cabinets and we designed a generous canopy with a mantle shelf to give the range area a real focal point.

All of these details come together to create a kitchen that’s practical, understated and built to last. It’s a space that suits the house perfectly - calm, light-filled and made for everyday use, without compromising on the finer points of design.

This shaker kitchen in North West London is a great example of how traditional style can be made to feel fresh, especially when paired with thoughtful materials and a well-planned layout. Timeless Painted Shaker Kitchen - North West London
