Soft Luxe Handleless Kitchen - Whetstone House, London

With generous space to work with and a client open to ideas, this soft luxe handleless kitchen project, in Whetstone gave us the perfect opportunity to create something truly distinctive. The result is a contemporary kitchen that brings together luxury, comfort and craftsmanship in one cohesive, beautifully detailed space.

From the start, the goal was to design a kitchen that felt both refined and inviting - a place to cook, gather and enjoy, with equal emphasis on functionality and style. We began by creating a layout that made the most of the large open-plan room, giving the space a natural flow and a clear sense of balance.

The foundation of the design is a soft, off-white finish, chosen for its ability to reflect light and create a calm, understated base. To bring warmth and contrast, we introduced handleless kitchen cabinets in dark smoked oak, along with striking antique bronze accents - a rich palette that brings depth and character to this otherwise minimalist modern kitchen.

The antique bronze finish was created using hand-applied liquid metal, which was then carefully rubbed back to produce a subtle, aged effect. The result is a surface that catches the light beautifully and adds just the right amount of texture and interest.

To enhance the sense of comfort and luxury, we also hand-crafted bespoke banquette seating - a feature that gives the room a softer, more relaxed feel. Upholstered in plush fabric and carefully integrated into the overall design, it adds a touch of elegance and makes the kitchen feel like a space to linger, not just pass through.

This modern kitchen in Whetstone brings together materials and finishes that are bold yet balanced. It’s contemporary, yes - but also warm and welcoming, with thoughtful detailing throughout. Whether it’s a quiet morning coffee or a busy evening of entertaining, this is a kitchen that feels ready for it all.
