Deposit Payment, Drawing Approval and Samples

A 50% deposit payment is required and all drawings are to be approved before work can begin.  Any changes made to the quoted and agreed specification will be invoiced separately which may result in additional production time.

Any appliances purchased on behalf of the customer for a project are always paid in full and will be delivered to site when required.

All furniture is made according to the approved design. Please note by approving the design you are accepting the specification as shown, therefore particular attention should be paid at this stage.

All furniture is made individually by hand using a combination of natural and man-made materials as a result variation may occur. Samples may be supplied upon request once an order is confirmed.

Balance Payment and Delivery

All extras must be quoted for and accepted. These extras will be invoiced with the balance invoice or separately should the balance invoice have already been issued.

Delivery times will vary according to the size of the project and when the goods are required.

A delivery date cannot be confirmed until receipt of the balance payment, funds of which must be cleared ten days before delivery can be confirmed.

Goods remain the property of Goldman & Rankin until full payment is received.

Installation does not include any building works, decoration, plumbing and electrics.

The cost of delivery will depend on the location and accessibility and installation on the amount of work required to complete the project.  Please see Delivery and Installation section for further detail.

On completion of installation the client or a representative of the client must be present to approve the installed furniture and sign appropriate documentation.

Once goods have been delivered, installed and signed for Goldman & Rankin cannot be held responsible for any damage to the goods thereafter.

Any appliances once unpackaged should be registered with the manufacturer and are the full responsibility of the client.

Once an order has been completed to the agreed delivery date, Goldman & Rankin is not in a position to store furniture if the client is not ready to accept the furniture.

Goldman & Rankin do not have storage facilities. If it is not possible to deliver the goods in agreed lead time it will need to be taken to a secure storage facility and suitably wrapped for safe keeping. The cost of this will be borne by the client and not by Goldman & Rankin.

VAT is payable on all orders in the UK. No VAT will be charged on goods shipped directly to countries outside of the EC on the provision that Goldman & Rankin receives export documentation from the shipping company within three months from the date of the balance invoice.
